Dreaming of: Layer-0 Hemp blazer

I have always had a thing for the nostalgic look. Think chimney sweeper from the early 1900's. This Layer-0 blazer, in a luxurious hemp/cotton/silk-mix has all the features of a classic, versatile blazer with a twist. It is cut quite slim, it is held in a black toned color, but most importantly is it it simple but with understated details such as the anatomically seams at the back along with the interesting seamwork in the arms of the jacket. All these things make up for the versatility jacket that I am always looking for in jacket. The pricetag, as you might have guessed, is not as flattering as the jacket, but that is what one must come to accept if one likes this kind of aesthetic. The blazer by Layer-0 can be found at my favorite store, PNP right here

Sruli Recht SS/13 accessories

A firm favorite of mine is the ever innovative icelandic-based, Sruli Recht, whose presentation this season were moved abroad to the fashion capital of Paris. The show itself was, as far as i have heard, very interestingly different in presentation as was the treatments, materials and the construction of the pieces as we expect from Sruli now. All of that is very interesting, but what i always adore the most about the collections are the accessories which often very special in both construction and in looks. This season is no exception! But as much as i could write about the shoes, hats, bags and jewellery produced this season i will just let the pictures speak for themselves as they are indeed very special!

Obscur SS/13: "Discipline"

With SS/13 "Discipline" Obscur show us that they are not only that gothic ninja brand we saw in the first collection, but is a brand slowly maturing into a more refined yet still experimental and edgy force to be reckoned with in the future. Gone are the overwhelming ninja drape pieces from earlier as this collection showcase a more mature side to their talent with well cut coats and jackets, slim-fitting leather pieces, state of the art fabric choices and edgy and fresh thinking accessories while still holding on to that darker and more gothic feeling which is Obscur.

As they present it themselves:

"Manipulated forms of altered human bodies foreshadows the lines of discipline. Skilled medical devices used to correct those deformations act as a balance between sterile material and the natural progression of time
Wrapped bandages in organic shapes co-exist with metallic elements in order to dress the body while keepring it within an articulated form.
Over-treated materials embody the wear of garments over time while sleek textiles restrain body whilst representing the pillar of modern day society"
